Hairless Terrier Puppy Care

Dogs make great company for man as a pet. They are affectionate, inquisitive and watchful. These characteristics make dogs the best pet you can possibly have. One such dog breed is the Hairless Terrier. The Pups of Hairless Terriers are far cute and attractive than adult ones.

Special care has to be taken in raising a pup as these are prone to be attacked by several biological organisms in their early life. Thus one has to put in an extra effort in caring these pets. There are a lot of factors that contribute to the health of these pups. One must know all the factors that may harm the pup’s health and ensure that he must protect the pup and hence raise the pup healthy.

The major weakness that the pups may undergo is sunburns as these do not have a protective coat to prevent themselves from sun’s radiation. Also they are to be kept warm in winter. They should be given bath at least twice in a week. There is a possibility of their skin getting dry most often. So lotions must be applied to keep their skin moisture. Proper care must be taken such that the lotion should not contain lanolin. Trimming nails can be done once in a week or every 10 days.

The pup does not cause allergy in humans. Hence one can hold this puppy in their hand, what many don’t do fearing allergy. When the pup gets a cut or a scratch in its body, one should clean it first with a clean cloth. Later any antiseptic agent can be added to the wound. Proper affection must be shown on them.
